Omnisphere 3 released

For the last few weeks I’ve had the opportunity to beta test the new Omnisphere 3.

I’ve been really enjoying the update. There are many new soundsources that are right up my street, as well as lots of new wavetables.

My favourite part of the update though has been the new fx modules, about 30 of them. Some really cool new stuff in there AND the added bonus that you now get the Omnisphere fx rack as its own standalone plug-in.

There’s also loads of new patches, though I haven’t contributed any this time around. That was all done and dusted before I got to beta test!

Also there are some new filters, an overall retweaking of various control elements and a new “mutation” function that allows you to make surprise changes to your sounds in seconds.

I’ve already integrated some of these new features into my upcoming Omnisphere soundsets AND have been inspired to start a new one.
