ZebraHZ Kobalt is a collection of 200 carefully designed broken analogue and mutated organic synth patches for modern film, TV and game scoring, in the vein of Arrival, Annihilation, Devs and the recently expanded Star Wars, Alien and Predator universes.
Designed for ZebraHZ, because only ZebraHZ could produce this soundset, Kobalt is for composers and artists working in dark, evolving, hybrid cinematic spaces; giving you everything you need for sci-fi soundtracks and trailer music; where dark, mechanical tension meets mystical, organic movement.
ZebraHZ Kobalt bristles with sparse soundscapes, corrupted tones, damaged pulses, ritual percussion, eclectic instruments, expressive pads, warped hits and sfx; all infected with a dystopian, hybrid, sci-fi vibe.

This collection comes in two formats. Firstly, all the patches in one folder and, secondly, a “Zones” version that splits the sounds across four territories: Fracture (dark & broken), Veil (mystical & alien), Systems (motion & energy) and Aether (space & texture). The “Zones” version is designed to assist your writing by helping you focus quicker on the right sounds for the right moment.
Kobalt also comes in an Expanded edition, which includes the original 200 patches plus an extra 220 alternate takes of many of the originals, taking them in both subtle and unorthodox new directions.
