Serum Nova II is a collection of 150 patches for Xfer Serum.
It is designed to encapsulate the musical and artistic aesthetic of cyberpunk and sci-fi: synth sounds for dystopian, futuristic cities, bathed in the neon noir glow of high tech and low lives.
Inspired by the music, sound design and world-building of film, TV and anime franchises such as Blade Runner, Ghost in the Shell, Star Wars (Andor and The Mandalorian), Akira, Deus Ex, Metal Gear, The Matrix, Aeon Flux, Wipeout, and, of course, Cyberpunk 2077; in all their gritty, glitchy, gorgeous and ground-breaking glory.
Serum Nova II is also influenced by diverse artists such as Hyper, Michael McCann, Le Castlevania, Ben Frost, Juno Reactor, Jean-Michel Jarre, Clock DVA, Power Glove, Gunship and, Geoff Barrow and Ben Salisbury.
Serum Nova II ripples with scorching basses, diaphanous pads, dynamic sequences, and evocative synths; all dripping with a deft fusion of digital and analogue synthesis.
This soundset brings you a cornucopia of detune, distortion and drama, infused with the cinematic and electronic violence and glamour of cyberpunk futures.
Serum Nova II also comes with two new Serum skins, designed by The Unfinished.
Each patch comes with detailed programming on the modwheel and utilises all four of Serum’s macros, to create additional powerful and effective sound-shaping options for the user.
