Diva Gemini Dark is a collection of 150 patches for u-he’s Diva.
Gemini Dark takes the atmospheric, Berlin School principles of the original Gemini into a darker, grubbier, more challenging direction. It introduces a more atonal, edgier, minimalist vibe.
Haunting whorls of ambient textures combine with twisted and lurid synth basses and leads, austere keys, complex arpeggios and sequences, as well as dissonant synth noises, that echo the past and speak of the future.
Gemini Dark is inspired by classic artists such as Tangerine Dream, Vangelis, Jean-Michel Jarre, Klaus Schulze and Kraftwerk, as well as more modern day, future-retro synth evangelists such as Wojciech Golczewski, Rival Consoles, Pye Corner Audio, Gunship and Carpenter Brut. It also features glimpses of the soundtrack work of John Carpenter, Bobby Krlic, Alan Howarth, Ben Salisbury & Geoff Barrow, Giorgio Moroder and Steve Moore.
These sounds will fill you full of 70s, 80s and even 90s synth wonder, lending an analogue grit and vibe to your modern compositions, or allowing you to fully indulge in some golden age, retro synthesis.
All the patches have dynamic programming on the modwheel and feature NKS versions for NI Komplete Kontrol software and keyboards.
