Hiraeth is a haunting collection of cinematic sounds for SonicCharge Synplant 2 which captures the atmosphere of forgotten places, unanswered questions and stories waiting to unfold.
Featuring 110 original synth patches and 40 bonus organic/FM drum machine sounds, this soundset is crafted for the worlds of crime drama, psychological thriller and documentary scoring. Its palette is drawn from organic textures, muted tones, uneasy harmonics and delicate sonic fragments, creating character through imperfection.
Rather than overwhelming the listener, Hiraeth focuses on the small sounds that paint a bigger picture: the distant movement, the uneasy silence, the imperfect textures and the hidden details that bring a scene to life. It’s about the details: a distant pulse, a decaying texture, a fragile melody, tones moving at the edge of perception. These are the sounds that create atmosphere and emotion, allowing composers to build tension and tell deeper stories.
