Refrakt II Fragments revisits the fractured, kinetic and atmospheric world of Refrakt II with a new selection of alternate versions, unreleased patches and experimental sounds recovered from the original programming sessions.
Blending shimmering textures, pulsing hybrid synthesis, distorted motion and cinematic atmosphere, these patches continue exploring the balance between precision and chaos that defined the original soundset. Familiar sounds are twisted into new forms, whilst previously unheard material introduces fresh tones, rhythms and sonic perspectives.
From tense underscore and expansive drama to electronic action and emotional suspense, Refrakt II Fragments expands the Refrakt universe with more depth, movement and intensity.
Inspired by the darkly creative, contemporary, hybrid scores of Lorne Balfe (Ambulance), Tom Holkenborg (Furiosa), Ludwig Goransson (Tenet), Tyler Bates (John Wick) and, Ben Salisbury and Geoff Barrow (Civil War); there are also tones and ideas influenced by electronic artists turned composers such as Photek, Hybrid, Raffertie and Toydrum, sneaking in some breakbeat and drum n bass vibes.
Each patch features expressive modwheel and x/y pad design.
