Once upon a time, many moons ago, I started out on this journey as a synth programmer, unaware that it would go anywhere. I am enormously amazed that, some six years later, a) I’m still doing it, and b) that I’ve managed to work with and for some amazing people and projects.
In those early days, I worked pretty much exclusively with the synths in Native Instruments Komplete, because that’s what I had. I learned to programme with Massive (which may or may not have been wise, but there we are!) and also learned to love it.
I started out, in 2011, with a little collection called Massive Darkscore. It was free, and it was just me tinkering about, making some sounds I’d use in my music. It got good enough feedback that I decided to make a Massive Darkscore II, that sold beyond my wildest dreams and also garnered the interest of a couple of professional composers who then wanted me to make some sounds for them.
By the end of 2012, I had released seven soundsets. And those soundsets, plus Massive Darkscore I (which I’ve subsequently retweaked), are what make up the Vintage Vault.
These soundsets are no longer available individually, though they are all still in the Complete Bundle. So this is a rare opportunity to own them.
I’m still very proud of them and use them myself. I hope you’ll enjoy them too.
