Since it’s been a while since I last released anything (Diva Genotype in November), I thought I’d use the break to do a little spring cleaning in The Unfinished towers.
As well as retiring a few soundsets and planning some new ideas, I’ve decided to have a little graphic design revamp. Most of this is based around commissioning a brand new logo, that you can now see at the top of my Homepage and also across all my social media and video/audio channels.
I commissioned a graphic designer rather fantastically going by the name of Tokyo Sexwhale (not his real name!). I wanted something to expand and improve on my existing logo, which I had designed myself with the idea of it looking like a button you could press. The new idea was to have something that looked like a pro audio knob. I sent Tokyo a bunch of photos of knobs from gear I love and he came up with a number of designs, from which I could pick my favourite.
This resulted in the logo you see at the top of this page. I then (being a bit of a graphic designer) made a few small alterations, including adding some nice “distressed” effects.
I’m very happy with the results and heartily recommend Tokyo’s work. It’s nice to now have a single, quality image to use across all my many existences on the internet and beyond.
Hope you guys like it too!
