I am extremely proud to have been able to support the Cinesonique Young Composer Competition.
The competition was instigated by Indian composer Tanuj Tiku to honour the 80th birthday of the amazing John Williams. The idea was to create a prize fund to help an aspiting young composer enable their dreams of becoming a professional. The prize fund in the end was over $1,600, which is great work by Tanuj.
My small part in it was offering my soundsets and sample library as a prize to both the winner and the runner-up, which I was very pleased to do.
The winner was Sascha Knorr from Germany and the runner-up Mathieu Leprise from Canada.
Sascha had this to say: “Very nice and inspiring pads and textures… the bass sounds are really cool.” Whilst Mathieu said:”Thank you for these wonderful soundsets.”
You can hear both their entries below.
